We offer students a cost-effective direct pathway to graduate health professional programs as alternatives to medicine and nursing. Our five initial programs – Midwifery, Physician Assistant, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Genetic Counseling and Clinical Translational Sciences – will produce highly competent health care providers and translational research scientists through a mix of graduate-level courses, service-learning experiences and clinical experiential training.
We are focusing on building programs that reflect the needs of Arizona’s communities. On the University of Arizona campus in Tucson, we will support students, faculty and staff in the delivery of academic programs focused on cutting-edge translational sciences and vital health care professions. This includes student support services, faculty affairs and curricular support, and a focus on wellness for all – all of which are critical to the ongoing success of new and future health professional programs.
We have the unique opportunity to build strong interprofessional educational programs that focus on great patient care and clinical translational research. We will continuously improve how we educate and innovate so we can lead the way in developing adaptive problem-solvers capable of tackling our greatest challenges.
