Angel-Grace Charity Leslie is from the Navajo Nation. She is a medical pharmacology doctoral student at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson and studies neurodegenerative diseases, such as ALS.

While a student at Diné College, she participated in the URBRAIN (Undergraduate Readying for Burgeoning Research for American Indian Neuroscientists) program at the University of Arizona Center for Innovation in Brain Science.
