University of Arizona faculty and staff are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine as part of the Phase 1B.1 rollout in Pima County. Those eligible can register through the Pima County Health Department using the Pima County Educators link.
The University is providing the vaccine to educators in Phase 1B.1 at two points of distribution (POD) (see attached map). Anyone eligible who signed up through the county’s portal should begin receiving emails to set up a MyChart account and schedule an appointment for the vaccination. The second appointment should be scheduled through MyChart after your first vaccination.
Pleaese note that no vaccines will go unused. If there are unclaimed registrations or an excess of vaccine supply, front-line employees and affiliates will be notified. These vaccinations would occur towards the end of each day. This group includes faculty and instructors currently teaching essential in-person classes on campus, UArizona Police Department officers, custodial employees, maintenance staff critical to utility infrastructure for fire safety, food service workers and Housing and Residential Life staff and resident assistants living or working in the isolation dorms.
Employees in Phoenix who are eligible under Phase 1.B1 are invited to be vaccinated at the Tucson POD. Eligible employees should be actively engaged in daily or regular student-facing activities and be willing to drive to the same Tucson site for both vaccinations. Sign up at the Banner/Kino site using the address: Provost’s Office, 411 Administration Building, Tucson, AZ 85721.
Please note anyone 75 years or older can register with Banner Health.
