The Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health is very pleased to welcome Andre Dickerson, MA, MBA, as the new Assistant Dean of Student Services and Alumni Affairs. Dickerson will lead the Office of Student Services and Alumni Affairs (OSSAA) for the college. He brings outstanding experience in student support and recruitment, combined with a proven track record of academic leadership with an emphasis on equity and diversity.
Dickerson holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Central Washington University, a Master of Arts in Medical Sciences from Heritage University, a Master of Business Administration from Ohio University, and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education from Azusa Pacific University. Prior to his new role with the college, he served as the director of the Center for Leadership and Community Engagement at Central Washington University, where he oversaw the university’s service-learning programs and established partnerships with community organizations. Dickerson said “I’m passionate about guiding students to success, both in their classes and through internships and community partnerships. And that helps build life-long engagement with the college among students and alumni. Everyone here has been very welcoming to me, and I feel blessed to be able to take on this new challenge.”
