DEI Hour Eligible Open Forum Training

  • ODEI has embarked on an institution-wide DEI training initiative.
  • Every COM-T constituent is expected to earn 6 hours per year from events hosted by ODEI.
  • The Open Forum concept allows constituents to register for events to acquire hours that fit their specific interests and needs.

Microaggressions: This training reviews microaggressions as a form of unconscious bias and discusses strategies to combat the effects of microaggressions. Ideal for all students, residents/fellows, faculty and staff.

UArizona College of Medicine - Tucson is committed to creating an environment of inclusive excellence. One major step in achieving this goal is improving our learning environment to recruit, develop, and retain a diverse and inclusive pool of faculty, fellows, residents, students and staff. The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion sponsors and advocates for policies, procedures, services and training to ensure diversity and inclusion are fully incorporated and valued in COM-T. Through strategic partnerships throughout the University of Arizona, UArizona Health Sciences and COM-T, the office provides a variety of development and support opportunities and programs.
