The UArizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health Annual Poster Forum will begin with a pre-event community discussion on the film “13th.” The discussion will be held on Zoom.

Filmmaker Ava DuVernay explores the history of racial inequality in the United States, focusing on the fact that the nation's prisons are disproportionately filled with African American inmates. Participants will be encouraged to engage in a respectful discussion about the topics presented in the film.

Attendees should watch the film prior to the discussion. The documentary is available on Netflix and YouTube.
