We are celebrating the Arizona Telemedicine Programs 25th Anniversary and the 100th Legislative Council meeting.
Ronald S. Weinstein, MD, a Massachusetts General Hospital-trained physician, co-founded the Arizona Telemedicine Program (ATP), in 1996. The national award-winning ATP is a multi-specialty program that has delivered telemedicine services in over 1.4 million cases. He is past-president (and president-emeritus) of the American Telemedicine Association. He has received numerous awards and honors including: the Association for Pathology Informatics’ Lifetime Achievement Award; the Arizona Medical Association’s Distinguished Service Award; the US Distance Learning Association’s Hall-of-Fame Induction award, and an international award for his design of an e-Classroom-of-the-Future. He has taught over 4,000 medical students and has over 600 professional publications.
