Wellness Wednesdays

12:00 pm to 12:50 pm

Faculty, staff, students and the community are invited to join Wellness Wednesdays: A Community Connection, a lunchtime event to promote nutritious foods, healthy minds and strong bodies.

Join a special 45-minute session on interactive play on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. "Discover Why Play Should Be a Priority for All Ages" will be presented by Lourdes Rodriguez, MS, senior coordinator of childcare and family resources for UArizona Life and Work Connections.

As the saying goes, "We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing." We often see work as a key priority and forget to prioritize play, but playing benefits everyone, young and old.

During this presentation, attendees will learn how to prioritize time to take a break to play, and will participate in two interactive activities designed to spur ideas for fun at work or home.

Wellness Wednesdays: A Community Connection is an initiative from the University of Arizona Health Sciences with the goal of creating a healthier community by helping individuals and families stay well. These free, 30-minute interactive webinars, hosted by experts including University of Arizona Health Sciences faculty, staff and students, will provide thoughtful guidance, information and tools to help support individuals.

Registration is required for all events. Upon registration, a confirmation email with login information and instructions will be sent.
