The Division of Public Health Practice and Translational Research in the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health presents "Vaccine Approval in the Midst of COVID-19."

Doug Campos-Outcalt, MD, MPA, will discuss challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the need to develop and deploy vaccines in a markedly reduced time frame.

Doug Campos-Outcalt MD, MPA is an adjunct lecturer in Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health and a senior lecturer at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix in Family, Community and Preventive Medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Arizona and received a Master of Public Administration degree from Arizona State University. He is board-certified in family medicine and preventive medicine and public health. He has served as the deputy director of the Arizona Department of Health Sciences and medical director of the Maricopa County Department of Public Health. He served as a member of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices of the CDC and as a liaison to the United States Preventive Services Task Force, representing the American Academy of Family Physicians, and serves as a member of the Community Preventive Services Task Force, sponsored by the CDC.
