Faculty, staff, students and the community are invited to join Wellness Wednesdays: A Community Connection, a lunchtime event to promote nutritious foods, healthy minds and strong bodies.
These free, 30-minute interactive webinars, hosted by experts including University of Arizona Health Sciences faculty, staff and students, will provide thoughtful guidance, information and tools to help support individuals while navigating through a new reality during these challenging times.
Wellness Wednesdays: A Community Connection is the latest initiative from the University of Arizona Health Sciences with the goal of creating a healthier community by helping individuals and families stay well.
Registration is required for all events. Upon registration, a confirmation email with login information and instructions will be sent.
Join an upcoming session on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021, Building Better Mental Health in 2021 with presenter Jenna Teso, DBH, LCSW, mental health counselor at the UArizona Health Sciences Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. The new year can bring the desire for a new beginning. If 2020 has taught us anything, it's that life can throw some curveballs. Join us for this session where we'll discuss mental wellness strategies to help you face whatever challenges come your way in 2021.
Dr. Teso is a mental health counselor at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. She obtained her master's degree in social work in 2011, and her doctorate in behavioral health in 2015 at Arizona State University. She has experience providing clinical services in a variety of settings, including hospitals, community mental health, crisis services, schools and detention centers. Her special interests include working with those experiencing life transitions, anxiety, trauma and grief.
