Title: “Sleep, Health, Technology, and Society”
Dr. Grandner is a licensed clinical psychologist, director of the Sleep and Heath Research Program at the University of Arizona, and director of the Behavioral Sleep Medicine Clinic at the Banner-University Medical Center. His work focuses on translational sleep research and behavioral sleep medicine, including studies of sleep as a domain of health behavior and the development and implementation of behavioral interventions for insufficient sleep and sleep disorders.
Title: “Opportunities for UA Investigators to Participate in SAVAHCS Research”
Dr. Schwenke has a doctorate in nutritional biochemistry and a master's degree in clinical epidemiology. She previously worked as a research methodologist at the Phoenix VA Health Care System, where she provided methodological and statistical leadership in the design, conduct, and management of clinical trials and other clinical research studies, established a data coordinating and monitoring center, and conducted her own research in cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Starting in 2015, Dr. Schwenke served as the chief of research at the VA Northern California Health Care System in Sacramento. Since November 2021, Dr. Schwenke has served as chief of research for the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System.
