Dr. Zappone received his doctorate in neuroscience at the University of Arizona in 2004. Dr. Zappone’s work focused on the role of the hippocampus in temporal lobe epilepsy. He used immunohistochemical and electrophysiological techniques to characterize network changes associated with hyperexcitable neural networks. Following post-doctoral work at the University of Arizona and the University of Utah, Dr. Zappone transitioned to pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly where he has supported field medical activities in the neuroscience space since 2009.
