Professor at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Kryger has been treating patients with sleep disorders for more than 40 years. He is the chief editor of the most widely used textbook in sleep medicine, The Principles and Practice of Sleep Medicine, and is the author of A Woman's Guide to Sleep Disorders, Atlas of Clinical Sleep Medicine, Kryger’s Sleep Medicine Review, The Mystery of Sleep, Sleep in Art and the recently published novel The Man Who Couldn’t Stay Awake. He is past president of the Canadian Sleep Society and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and chair of the National Sleep Foundation. He has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Canadian Sleep Society and the National Sleep Foundation. He has been on BBC radio many times and has appeared on CNN and Good Morning America, and has been interviewed in the New York Times and Readers Digest.
