Juan Chipollini, MD, is an urologic oncologist and assistant professor in the department of urology at the UArizona College of Medicine – Tucson. He finished his urology residency at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, and completed a fellowship at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute where he specialized in the management of urologic malignancies using both complex as well as minimally-invasive surgery.
Dr. Chipollini's research interests involve novel diagnostic biomarkers in urothelial carcinoma. He also studies heath disparities in the surgical management of renal cell and penile cancer patients. He leads in the surgical management of locally-advanced renal cell carcinoma and urologic cancers involving the retroperitoneum. He has a surgical practice as the only university-based academic urologic oncologist in Arizona, and he is principal investigator in several clinical trials.
