Updates and Best Practices in Behavioral Treatment of Pediatric Insomnia
Dr. Honaker is an associate professor of pediatrics at the Indiana University School of Medicine, where she directs the Healthy Sleep for Kids research laboratory and the behavioral sleep medicine clinical service at Riley Children’s Hospital. Dr. Honaker holds a career development award from National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, examining strategies to promote detection of pediatric obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in primary care, with a particular emphasis on OSA detection in children from racial/ethnic minority backgrounds. Other areas of research include adolescent insomnia and family interventions for infant sleep. She holds board certification in Behavioral Sleep Medicine, is a member of the Pediatric Sleep Council, and has presented and published extensively on pediatric insomnia.
