Infectious Diseases Senior Fellow Research Presentation by Dr. Ahmad Musmar

Dr. Musmar is an infectious diseases fellow in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson. He attended Jordan University of Science and Technology Faculty of Medicine, where he received a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He completed his internal medicine residency at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. He is a second-year fellow and will be graduating June 2022. Dr. Musmar’s clinical interests include general infectious diseases, fungal and mycobacterial infections, antibiotic stewardship and education. His research interests encompass fungal, bacterial infections and infection prevention. He is a principal investigator in a study to determine the incidence of Clostridium difficile infection and antibiotic associated diarrhea in patients receiving outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy (OPAT).
