Presenter Details

Alok Patel, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician and a clinical associate professor of pediatrics at Stanford Medicine, where he practices as a pediatric hospitalist at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital and serves as the faculty director of communications for the Department of Pediatrics. Dr. Patel is a distinguished alumnus of the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson and a proud member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society, an honor that celebrates physicians who exemplify compassion, integrity and excellence in patient-centered care. Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Patel is a nationally recognized medical journalist, producer and on-camera expert who brings critical public health issues to life through broadcast media, podcasts and innovative science communication.
