April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month
Office of Institutional Equity
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (#SAAM2024) in the U.S. SAAM is intended to raise awareness about sexual assault, educate our community about prevention and cultivate support of victims and survivors. The national theme of SAAM 2024 is Building Connected Communities. This April we call on all Wildcats to help build a strong, connected community that promotes health, safety and respect.
The Office of Institutional Equity (OIE) website shares links to hotlines, resources, campus and community services and events.
Watch this video from student leadership who share a brief message about the resources and support available at the University, and how you can help raise awareness.
Many offices and individuals at the University work together to ensure that all individuals who report being impacted by gender-based violence, including sexual assault, receive a caring and compassionate response and have access to available resources and support. If you or someone you know needs support, it is available for employees on the Office of Institutional Equity employee support website, and for students on the student support website.
