Xin Tang, a student in the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health, is the first author on a paper that found that in patients with Type 2 diabetes, thiazolidinedione monotherapy is associated with reduced dementia risk and sulfonylurea monotherapy is associated with an increased risk compared with metformin monotherapy.
