The Arizona Area Health Education Centers program focuses on developing integrated, sustainable, health care workforce education programs with an emphasis on primary care and increasing access in Arizona's rural and underserved communities. The program works to improve the supply, quality, diversity and distribution of the health workforce.

The Arizona Simulation Technology & Education Center provides innovative, collaborative learning opportunities for new students and seasoned practitioners to learn, practice and assess their understanding of procedures in a high-tech, realistically simulated environment. ASTEC engages learners at all levels by utilizing high-fidelity simulation technology with innovative methods of experiential learning theory.

The Health Sciences Design Program engages undergraduate, graduate and professional students from all disciplines in the development of solutions to health care challenges. The program offers an innovation space that includes advanced equipment and expert faculty and staff, giving students an opportunity to develop critical skills and competencies in health sciences design thinking.

The National Institutes of Health’s All of Us Research Program is a historic effort to collect and study data from 1 million or more people living in the United States to improve health care. The University of Arizona and Banner Health are partners in the All of Us Research Program in Arizona and Colorado.

Researchers and physician-scientists are building on the idea that the most effective defense against disease is the body’s immune system. The Center for Advanced Molecular and Immunological Therapies will advance knowledge of the immunology of cancers, infectious diseases and autoimmune conditions to develop novel strategies to diagnose, prevent and treat diseases.

Members of the Comprehensive Center for Pain & Addiction are reimagining and transforming health care for pain and addiction. The center advances science to provide students, educators, professionals, leaders and communities with evidence-based insights, therapies and resources. It focuses on all aspects of pain and addiction to improve health outcomes.

The Center for Sleep, Circadian & Neuroscience Research focuses on a core determinant of health across all populations. The center’s members conduct cutting-edge human sleep and circadian rhythms research to advance our understanding of disease processes such as inflammation, cancer, heart disease, stroke, cognition and mental illness.

The Clinical and Translational Sciences Research Center supports investigative clinical research at the University of Arizona and Banner – University Medical Center. The medical facility provides a complete environment to support clinical trials in a central location that allows convenient access to hospital resources, including clinical laboratories, radiology and more.

One Health is an approach that recognizes the health and wellness interconnection between people, animals, plants and our shared environment. One Health integrates expertise in human, animal and environmental health to improve health outcomes, better respond to public health challenges, assure safe and healthy food and water, and protect global health security.

The Aegis Consortium unites a diverse coalition of experts from all corners of the human experience to develop pandemic solutions. The consortium operates across disciplines, industries and borders to develop flexible solutions that can be implemented in communities worldwide. Its goal is to create a pandemic-free future for all.

The Asthma and Airway Disease Research Center has garnered international acclaim for its research and treatment of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, sleep apnea and other major respiratory diseases. Members of the center are dedicated to research, clinical care, medical education and community service in adult and pediatric pulmonary medicine.

The Center for Disparities in Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism seeks to improve the health and well-being of Latino people with Type 2 diabetes. The center serves as a nucleus for interdisciplinary research that forms the foundation for the translation of biomedical research to advanced, evidence-based clinical care in the community.

The Center for Innovation in Brain Science fosters and develops innovation to address the challenges of age-related neurodegenerative diseases. Members of the center use the brain’s complexity to drive discovery and create precision cures for four age-associated neurodegenerative diseases: Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis and ALS.

The U of A Cancer Center, the only National Cancer Institute-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in Arizona, aims to alleviate the burden of cancer. The center is a regional resource and national model for overcoming cancer risks through compassionate care, translational research to improve treatments, scientist and physician training, and community engagement to eliminate social inequities.

The Center for Accelerated Biomedical Innovation is aimed at developing solutions for unsolved problems and unmet needs in health care and individual well-being. The center identifies enhanced uses for technologies developed by researchers at the university and collaborating partners that can be rapidly implemented in the clinical world.

The Center for Biomedical Informatics and Biostatistics builds a data-driven learning health system, advances precision medicine analytics and translates big data science and genomic discoveries to clinical care. The mission of the center is to promote research and offer services and tools in the fields of biomedical informatics and biostatistics.

The SensorLab connects researchers to technologies and digital solutions with health applications to advance novel human-centered hardware and software sensor systems. The mission is to create an engaging and inspirational environment with access to equipment and expertise that encourages creativity and innovation to push forward the next generation of sensor-based investigation and discovery.
