UArizona researchers top others in the state with NIH funding

The Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research recently released its rankings of institutions that receive funding from the National Institutes of Health. Among the 2,886 institutions receiving NIH funding, UArizona was the top recipient in the state of Arizona, ranking No. 49 nationwide with $197.9 million in awards. The College of Medicine – Tucson and College of Medicine–Phoenix received a combined $122.7 million in awards. The R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy ranked No. 4 nationally, the College of Nursing ranked No. 19 and the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health ranked No. 32.
