Heather Hartling, MS
Heather Hartling, MS, is associate vice president and chief of staff of administrative operations in the Office of the Senior Vice President for the University of Arizona Health Sciences. In this role, Hartling helps oversee all aspects of U of A Health Sciences and its six health sciences colleges. She serves as a key liaison, internally and externally, for Health Sciences in all issues and interacts with a wide variety of constituents on behalf of the Senior Vice President for Health Sciences.
She is a seasoned professional with more than 20 years’ experience in higher education and academic health center settings, successfully coordinating clinical, research and teaching missions with the evolving business needs of universities, hospitals and practice plans.
Before joining the U of A Health Sciences administration, Hartling served as Executive Director of the Banner University Medical Group playing a key leadership role in the clinical mission. Prior to that, she was responsible for the management, integration and advancement of Diamond Children’s Medical Center, Steele Children’s Research Center and other basic, translational and clinical research needs for these institutions.
