Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in the U.S., and early detection is a proven line of defense against this deadly disease.
Benefits-eligible University of Arizona employees, and spouses covered by their medical insurance, can receive a quick, confidential breast cancer screening each year through the Mobile On-site Mammography service.
The screening is free for employees on state insurance plans. A copay may apply with other forms of coverage.
This session includes a full-field, 3D digital mammogram with computer-aided detection. People with breast implants are welcome. Patients under age 35 must have a doctor’s referral, and MOM is unable to screen people who are pregnant or nursing, unless referred by a physician.
Registration is required. To book your 15-minute appointment, call 480-967-3767 or 800-285-0272.
On the day of the exam: Please bring your insurance card, your primary care doctor’s name and office address, and, if applicable, the name of the facility where you had your last mammogram. Remember not to put on deodorant, powder, perfume or lotion, and consider wearing a two-piece outfit. Please wear a face covering and observe physical distancing guidelines. MOM staff will follow appropriate CDC coronavirus prevention protocols, and they will check your temperature before your appointment.
This screening is worth up to 500 Health Impact Program points!
