Marisa Zallocchi, PhD
Assistant Professor
Creighton University

Zallocchi is an assistant professor in the Biomedical Sciences Department at Creighton University in Omaha. After receiving her doctorate from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, she moved to Iowa City to work as a postdoctoral fellow. She subsequently moved to Boys Town National Research Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, where she was initially a research assistant and then became staff scientist. Zallocchi's main research focus is to study the genetic causes of hearing loss with special emphasis in the search for therapies to prevent or restore hearing function.
