Valley fever is a growing fungal threat to outdoor workers

Valley fever continues to spread and poses a threat to those who work outside. Valley fever’s mortality rate is about one death per 1,000 infections, according to John Galgiani, MD, director of the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson's Valley Fever Center for Excellence.
