After nearly a year of collaboration between University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix researchers and Phoenix-based artists, the Artist + Researcher exhibit opened to the public on Sept. 2 at the Health Sciences Education Building.

The Artist + Researcher project was the vision of Cynthia Standley, PhD, a professor in the Department of Bioethics and Medical Humanism and director of the College of Medicine – Phoenix Art in Medicine program. Dr. Standley said the idea was to see what would happen when research is presented through an artistic lens.

The project included six researchers from the College of Medicine – Phoenix, two from Arizona State University and two from Northern Arizona University, all based on the Phoenix Bioscience Core.
