The mission of Street Medicine Phoenix, co-founded in 2017 by College of Medicine – Phoenix students Jeffery Hanna and Justin Zeien, is to ensure access to quality health care for the homeless population living and sleeping on the streets of Phoenix. The interprofessional, student-led group fosters a collaborative environment among the future health-care providers who serve as volunteers. Students and faculty preceptors performed health screenings during a February 23, 2020 “street run” at Grace Lutheran Church in downtown Phoenix.
