Call for proposals: Cancer Center Internal Pilot Awards

The University of Arizona Cancer Center is currently accepting applications for its Internal Pilot Awards through Jan. 14, 2024. It anticipates awarding up to two projects for up to $50,000 per award.

These one-year awards, available to UACC members, will support innovative and impactful research projects that focus on the UACC’s Research Themes. Priority will be given to applications that focus on catchment area cancers with known health disparities: Lung, genitourinary (prostate, kidney, bladder), breast, melanoma, and gastrointestinal (colorectal, hepatobiliary, pancreas, stomach).

These awards are intended to be seed funds that will rapidly result in an external cancer-focused submission. Multi-investigator applications to foster intra- and inter-programmatic interactions are encouraged as well as multi-investigator external cancer grant applications. 

Faculty who are interested in applying but who are not currently UACC members can apply for membership.

 Applications are due by Sunday, Jan. 14 at 11:59 p.m. MST.
