Yuta Senzai, PhD

Senzai is a postdoctoral scholar in the Scanziani Lab at the University of California, San Francisco. After his undergraduate studies in Japan, he completed his PhD at New York University. Senzai studies sensory systems and navigation systems in the mouse brain, both during wakefulness and sleep. By studying the sleeping brain, he aims to understand neurobiological mechanisms of perception and elucidate the role of sleep in learning and memory. The results of his study (with Scanziani) were published in Science (2022).
