COVID-19 Behind the Scenes: How First Responders Can Prevent Infection Transmission

The Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health worked with Tucson Fire Department and the Western Regional Public Health Training Center to produce a training video for first responders on COVID-19 emergency calls. The exercise included equipment to protect the patient and the first responders. “The coronavirus caused fear and uncertainty about what best practice looks like,” said the College's Kelly Reynolds, PhD. The Tucson Fire Department sought the College’s help to refresh public safety responders about infection control protocols.
