UArizona College of Medicine – Tucson honors 116 graduates
The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson celebrated 116 new physicians during its 2023 spring convocation at Centennial Hall. The new doctors will begin residencies at 57 hospitals in 25 states.
“Your class witnessed the beginning of the pandemic with its inherent uncertainties, going from in-person learning to online almost overnight,” said Michael M.I. Abecassis, MD, MBA, dean of the college. “You had a front-row seat to tragic outcomes, but also to the wonders of medicine, from diagnosis to treatment. What a ride you’ve had!”
Degrees were conferred by University of Arizona President Robert C. Robbins, MD, and Dean Abecassis administered the Hippocratic Oath to the graduates.
