Event description

The practice and delivery of health care is changing, with an emphasis on improving quality, safety, efficiency and access to care. Telemedicine can help you achieve these goals. The Arizona Telemedicine Program and the Southwest Telehealth Resource Center invite you to a free, one-hour CME webinar on the implementation and practice of telemedicine. The webinar is provided by the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson.

Keeping Care Local via Telenephrology

Rural hospitals often lack nephrology coverage or dialysis capabilities, forcing patients with end-stage renal disease and other kidney conditions to travel elsewhere for care. Telenephrology provides 24/7 access to nephrologists and supports local staff in delivering dialysis when needed. This session will review how such programs improve access to specialty care, maintain continuity for patients and enhance outcomes in rural settings.
