Vladimirov is a physician-scientist with 20 years of experience in studying the molecular neuropathology of psychiatric disorders using postmortem brain tissues. His presentation will center on investigating the miRNA role in the etiology of major depression. He is currently affiliated with the Lieber Institute for Brain Development, Virginia Institute for Psychiatric and Behavioral Genetics, and the Department of Psychiatry at Texas A&M University, College Station.
