Department faculty,
Please join us Thursday, Sept. 11, via Zoom at 4 p.m. for a research career development workshop presented by Sally Radovick, MS, MD, professor of pediatrics, COM-P, and co-director of the University of Arizona's new, NIH-funded Clinical and Translational Research Award program in partnership with the University of New Mexico, which has been named the Southwest Center for Advancing Clinical and Translational Innovation (SW CACTI).
This will be the U of A's first involvement with NIH's CTSA program, the goal of which is to enhance translational research by supporting training programs, scientific and operational innovations, and collaborations to address the health needs of local communities.
Come learn about new opportunities available to DOM faculty supported by the UNM/UA SW CACTI research infrastructure and training, including the associated K12 mentored career development award, which will provide translational research training for early career faculty members.
Faculty members at all levels are encouraged to attend to learn how best to leverage these new opportunities to advance your research.
Best regards,
Janet Funk, MD, MS, FACP
Professor, Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology
Vice Chair of Research, Department of Medicine
