Infectious Diseases Faculty Candidate Presentation

Presenter Details

Kenneth Armamento Villarea, DO, is second generation and the only child of a family of immigrants from the Philippines. He was born and spent most of his childhood in St. Louis, Missouri, and both of his parents are physicians in endocrinology. Villareal was inspired during his medical training to pursue infectious diseases. He did his undergraduate education at Austin College in Texas and at the University of New Mexico. He achieved his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Kansas City University. After graduation, he did his residency at Overland Park Regional Medical Center where he would meet the person who would become his wife. He is now a PGY-5 at the University of Kansas Medical Center. His interests in infectious diseases are HIV and general infectious diseases. His personal hobbies are running, going to the gym, playing board games and tinkering/building computers and keyboards.
