Prerau is an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, faculty of the Harvard Medical School Division of Sleep Medicine, associate neuroscientist and director of the Sleep Neurophysiology Signal Processing Core at the Brigham and Women’s Division of Sleep and Circadian Disorders. He received his PhD in computational neuroscience from Boston University. Prerau is the recipient of the Research Image Award for data visualization by the Sleep Research Society, as well as the Young Investigator Oral Presentation Award by the World Sleep Congress. His research explores the linkage between changes in brain dynamics during sleep and the pathophysiology of neurological dysfunction.
