Event Description

Join us to explore the ethical considerations and best practices in providing humanitarian aid in a global health context, including issues related to access, allocation and distribution of resources. This event is free to attend and is sponsored by a grant from the Agnes Nelms Haury Charitable Trust.

Objectives

• Foster interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration between health care providers, policymakers, academics and community leaders to address complex ethical dilemmas in global health such as cultural sensitivity, autonomy and informed consent.
• Facilitate the development of evidence-based guidelines and policies that promote ethical humanitarian aid practices, considering diverse perspectives and experiences of stakeholders from different regions and backgrounds.
• Raise public awareness and engagement and ethical issues in global health, including the responsibilities of donors, aid organizations and governments in ensuring that humanitarian aid is provided in an ethical and sustainable manner.
