This multifaceted University of Arizona virtual event is sponsored by the Department of Medicine’s Division of Infectious Diseases, the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Division of Interventional Radiology in the Department of Radiology & Imaging Sciences at the U of A College of Medicine – Tucson.

Learning Objectives: 

1. Diagnose and manage complex orthopedic infections more accurately and efficiently through integrated clinical, radiologic and microbiologic assessment of musculoskeletal infections.
2. Implement evidence-based antimicrobial strategies to improve infection control while supporting antimicrobial stewardship.
3. Collaborate effectively across medical disciplines to develop unified, patient-centered care plans.
4. Improve patient outcomes, including decreased complications, readmissions and prolonged hospital stays related to orthopedic infections.
