Event Description

The Biological and Biomedical Joint Seminar Series presents "mTORC2 signaling and the control of hexosamine metabolism."

Proliferating cells meet the increased demand for specific nutrients and/or metabolites by reprogramming cell metabolism. During normal T cell development as well as lymphomagenesis, there is increased demand for hexosamines. This seminar will discuss how mTORC2 is involved in controlling metabolic reprogramming to provide metabolites for hexosamine synthesis.
