PRECISION medicine in IPF and ILD

Imre Noth, MD
Noth joined the University of Virginia in 2018 as chief of pulmonary and critical care medicine. He earned his BA from the University of Pennsylvania, an MS in Human Physiology from Georgetown University and his MD from the University of Arizona. Noth completed his residency at UC Davis and fellowship at the University of Chicago, where he became a professor of medicine. He is a nationally recognized expert in interstitial lung diseases — particularly idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis — and has led groundbreaking work in clinical trials, genomics and personalized medicine. He established a major IPF clinic and biorepository and leads several NIH-funded studies, including the PRECISIONS trial, which focuses on pharmacogenomics in IPF.
