Precision therapies for rare rheumatic diseases

Presenter Details

Jonathan Miner, MD, PhD

Dr. Miner is an associate professor of medicine and director of the RVCL Research Center at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. He is a recognized expert in inherited rheumatic diseases, and he focuses on disorders caused by mutations in genes that regulate DNA- and RNA-triggered inflammatory responses. He provides specialized care to rare-disease patients from around the globe and leads a research team that develops animal models carrying human disease mutations. These models are instrumental in uncovering disease mechanisms and advancing personalized therapeutic strategies.
