Event Description
Joshua N. Farr, PhD, will be presenting at Rheumatology Grand Rounds on Friday, March 13. Dr. Farr is an associate professor with the University of Arizona Department of Medicine in the Rheumatology Division and is the Ethel McChesney Chair for Osteoporosis Research at the University of Arizona Arthritis Center. The title of the presentation is "Future Directions in Osteoporosis Therapy: Integrating Osteoanabolic Agents and Senescence-Targeted Strategies.”
Learning Objectives: Participants should be able to:
- Describe the mechanisms and clinical evidence supporting osteoanabolic therapies for osteoporosis, including romosozumab and other anabolic agents.
- Explain how skeletal aging and cellular senescence influence bone remodeling and therapeutic response.
- Evaluate emerging strategies that integrate osteoanabolic therapies with senescence-targeted approaches to improve durability of osteoporosis treatment.
