Dr. Kling is a professor of medicine and chair of the Division of Women’s Health Internal Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona. She also serves as assistant director of the Women’s Health Center and dean of the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, Arizona campus. Dr. Kling earned both her medical degree and Master's of Public Health from the University of Arizona in Tucson. She completed her internal medicine residency and subsequent chief internal medicine fellowship year at the Mayo Clinic Arizona. Her clinical and research interests include menopause, sexual health, LGBTQ+ care, medical education and advancing the field of sex- and gender-specific medicine. Recognized as both an institutional and national leader in menopause care, Dr. Kling is a frequent speaker at national conferences and a prolific contributor to scientific literature. She is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, a fellow and board member of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health and a board member of the American Medical Women’s Association Sex and Gender Health Collaborative. She also contributes to the transgender and intersex specialty clinic committee at the Mayo Clinic Arizona and previously served as co-chair of the LGBTI Mayo Employee Resource Group.
