Bethany Eiseler, MD, named director of College of Medicine – Phoenix's Division of Palliative Care

Bethany Eiseler, MD has been appointed as the director of the Division of Palliative Care in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix.

Eiseler is a native Arizonan, born and raised in Mesa. She attended the University of Arizona in Tucson, earning a Bachelor of Science in physiology with a minor in psychology. She went on to receive her medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.

Following medical school, Eiseler returned to Phoenix to complete her combined internal medicine/pediatrics residency through the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix, training primarily at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix and Phoenix Children’s Hospital. She then completed a hospice and palliative medicine fellowship at the Creighton University School of Medicine – Phoenix, with clinical training at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hospice of the Valley, Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Valleywise Medical Center.

Eiseler returned to Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix and divides her time between inpatient palliative medicine and serving as an attending physician in the internal medicine clinic.

The College of Medicine – Phoenix and the Department of Internal Medicine look forward to Eiseler’s leadership in expanding the Division of Palliative Care and advancing innovative initiatives that enhance patient care.
