Call for proposals: SCORCH Pilot Project Awards
Southwest Center for Resilience in Climate Change and Health
The Southwest Center for Resilience in Climate Change and Health (SCORCH) is pleased to announce two calls for proposals from both community organizations and University of Arizona faculty researchers to pilot projects implementing solutions to mitigate the challenges posed by climate change and its impact on health in arid lands. Understanding and addressing health inequities experienced by under-resourced and underserved communities in arid lands in the U.S. Southwest and abroad is critical to the SCORCH mission.
Opportunity 1: Community Implementation Pilot Project Awards call for proposals
- Eligible applicants include Arizona-based community or civic non-profit organizations with 501(c)(3) status, faith-based organizations and public health and health care organizations.
Opportunity 2: Research Pilot Project Awards call for proposals
- Eligible research teams must include faculty from at least two University of Arizona colleges. The program is open to all faculty.
Proposals are due by Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, 11:59 p.m. MST. Funding up to $25,000 will be provided for twelve-month pilot projects (period of performance: Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2025).
