College of Public Health graduates 200-plus students

On May 16, 204 students received bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees at the University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health’s spring convocation at Centennial Hall.
Iman Hakim, MD, PhD, MPH, dean of the Zuckerman College of Public Health, noted that the graduating class made for a remarkable group, with 130 earning baccalaureate degrees and 78 being first-generation graduates blazing “a trail for future generations.”
“Each one of you represents what this college stands for,” Hakim said, addressing the new graduates. “You came here with a story. Some of you drove across town. Some flew across oceans. And you all arrived with a shared calling: to make the world healthier and better for everyone. Today, you leave with the tools, the knowledge and the credentials to do exactly that.”
