Farmers market returns to U of A health sciences plaza Jan. 16
College of Medicine – Tucson, Office of Community Engagement and Partnerships
We are pleased to begin the new year with some wonderful news. The farmers market on the health sciences plaza at the University of Arizona is returning.
Over the past several months, the College of Medicine – Tucson's Office of Community Engagement and Partnerships, working with colleagues from the Dean’s Office, the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine and medical students from the Gold Humanism Honor Society, has been revitalizing this well-loved campus event that was discontinued at the outset of the pandemic.
The first farmers market will take place Friday, Jan. 16, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Local vendors will offer prepared lunches, farm-fresh produce and artisanal goods. Beyond supporting local businesses, the farmers market provides an opportunity for members of our community to connect with one another. The market will continue every other Friday through May 8. We encourage you to attend, support the vendors and help us grow this initiative.
Thank you for your continued support of efforts that strengthen our community. We hope to see you at the market.
