The Phoenix Bioscience Core is home to BacVax, which uses molecular genetics to study Haemophilus influenzae, a common cause of ear infections. It was founded by Terrence Stull, MD, a professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix, who moved the startup from the College of Medicine – Phoenix to the PBC in July 2021.
