Reflect, unwind and recharge with 'In Community' events Oct. 7-11

Student Affairs and Office of the Provost

October is a time to reflect on significant events both locally and globally; it also marks the midpoint of the semester when stress levels can rise. This is an important time for the campus community to prioritize self-care, support students and colleagues, and take advantage of mental health and well-being services provided by the university.

From Oct. 7-11, the university is hosting several "In Community" events designed to help students, faculty and staff care for themselves and each other.

Faculty and staff are invited to join an employee support event on Oct. 7 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Main Library, Room B201 in the CATalyst Studios. Planned activities will allow employees to unwind, recharge and build community. A ComPsych counselor will be on-site and Employee Assistance Counseling information and resources will be available.

Consult the full schedule of "In Community" events for the campus community, which includes:

  • A free yoga class
  • Drop-in counseling
  • Pa(w)s for Pets (therapy animals)

An Outdoor Space to Rest and Reflect

Arizona Arts Live has unveiled "Cuk Ṣon Audiorama," an open-air space on the east side of Centennial Hall designed to allow people to rest and reflect in the quiet company of trees and music. The space will be available through Nov. 12.
