Updated U of A Health Sciences style guide released

The University of Arizona Health Sciences Office of Communications released an updated style guide. The new guide includes updated guidance on the preferred Health Sciences second reference to the university. Those changes include once the full name of the university is used on first reference, on second reference the U of A is the preferred second reference in the Health Sciences.

The style guide is designed to help faculty, staff and students communicate effectively and consistently across the Health Sciences. The updated guide was created in alignment with the overall university marketing and communications guideline, using AP Style as its base. 

In the new addition to the updated guidelines on first, second and subsequent references to the university and U of A, titles and academic credentials and areas where Health Sciences style differs from AP are included.
